I find that most high school students aren’t exactly sure as to what they want to be when they grow up. It soon turns into pressure when it comes time to apply for universities because how do you know what to major in if you don’t know what you want to do with your life? I’ve got to admit, I’m one of those students who is not exactly sure about what I want to pursue as a career, however, I do have some options because I know what I like to do for fun. Here are a few ways to help you find out what you want to do for fun!

  • Join a Club! – Or start your own! You can always join a variety of clubs to try new things and figure out what you like to do for fun and what you don’t. Trying new things allows you to explore your options.
  • Volunteer, Volunteer, Volunteer! – Once you find out what you like to do, volunteer around your community. Maybe there are some opportunities that will look great on your resume!
  • Intern – It is really difficult to find an internship, especially at a young age, however there are companies that allow High School students to intern! So, definitely check out the Intern Queen website often because new internships are posted daily! Interning allows you to get an idea of what your potential job could be like and also allows you to network! Meet new people and keep in touch with them because you never know who they know.
