Why I Entered the TechTrip Contest -- And Why You Should Too!

As an Intern Queen Campus Ambassador, I am continually trying to seize any opportunities that could help me develop on a personal or a professional level. I do this because I know that exploring different fields and creating new experiences will help me figure out exactly what I want to do after I graduate college.

The latest opportunity I have seized is entering TechTrip, a contest for college students that is sponsored by Lenovo, Intel, Namco Bandai Games, and Dolby. This contest is a phenomenal way to find out where the world is going technologically and what impact that will have on college students. Not to mention, winners get a trip to visit four well-known tech companies across the United States, a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 laptop, an Onkyo home theater system from Dolby, and a selection of games from Namco Bandai.

Even though my major is not directly related to the tech industry, I recognize that understanding the changing world of technology is vital in all professions. In addition, as a communications major with minors in public relations and sociology, I would love to see how the PR sectors of all of the companies work and what digital tools they utilize in implementing communication strategies.

Always take advantage of once-in-a-lifetime opportunities like this. You never know where they could lead!

To enter this contest, apply directly through the Lenovo for Students: TechTrip Contest page on Facebook.
