Dropbox: A Document Sharing Must-Have

Lacey is a Campus Ambassador at MSU Moorhead. She graduates in May with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising, along with a minor in Leadership Studies.
At this point in the year, you’re probably starting to run around like crazy, gathering all of your projects as you approach midterms and finals. And of course, today is the day you forget your flashdrive (or even worse, it crashes!) with all of your important documents saved on it. Now what are you going to do… email all of your documents to yourself?

Trust me with this one: Save time and heartache by saving all of your shared documents on Dropbox!

Dropbox is a free file hosting service based online. Basically, it’s like having your flash drive wherever you have Internet. You can share all of your files with multiple computers (Mac or PC), phones, and through the Dropbox website.

For example, if you spill your morning latte all over your laptop (sadly, this happens), you can rest assured that as long as those files were saved in your Dropbox folder, you can open them through www.dropbox.com with any computer or Smartphone.

This has been a handy time saving tool for group projects. This way, everyone can save each part of the project into a shared Dropbox folder and anyone can access the documents at anytime.
