Our summer interns just started about two weeks ago at InternQueen.com. They are doing a fantastic job and I’ll continue to update readers on their progress. Not too long ago, our spring interns were wrapping up their internships. During their last few days, I wrote them letters of recommendation, created LinkedIn endorsements for them, and had several mentor conversations. As expected, a common question they had was, “how do we best stay in touch?” I challenged them to be ONE OF THE FIVE, a term they were unfamiliar with.

Who doesn’t love a good inspirational quote every so-often? I worked with my team to go through some of my favorite quotes of all time – many of them are from my “Inspirational Quotes” Pinterest board. I hope some of these quotes inspire you as they continue to inspire me every day!
Here’s the deal. An employer can put you at the top of their list for an internship or job. They might think the world of you. If they see an image of you where you are dressed inappropriately because you’re in a swimsuit or wearing a super short skirt (about to go out) they can easily change their mind. Once they hire you, you are an extension of their brand, their company, and their decision-making ability. Anyone reading this is clearly ambitious. Make sure you don’t blow it by posting inappropriate material during spring break.
Lauren Berger created Intern Queen Inc. in 2009, after successfully completing 15 internships and college and recognizing a need for more internship resources. Her online platform, www.internqueen.com, serves as the home of the business and allows students access to apply for any internship they want free of charge. The site also features daily content on how to make the most of high school, college, and post-grad experiences.
