This semester I’m interning at a popular magazine for teenagers in NYC. It has been an amazing experience and I’ve learned so much. One of my favorite days so far was when I got to assist on a photo shoot for the magazine! I was so excited when I heard I would be going. I spent the day assisting the stylist at the photo shoot. I wanted to share what it takes to be a stylist and what I learned the day I was assisting her.

Ok, I admit, I'm slightly obsessed with the celebrity apprentice. The branding side of my heart is always impressed by Ivanka Trump. As I was watching the Celebrity Apprentice on Demand, I couldn't help but go on Ivanka's website and look through her clothing collection. I really respect Ivanka, how she holds herself in an environment dominated by men, and the brand she's created over the years.

I know you are all making a mess figuring out what to wear for Monday morning - I know I always am. Let's start the week off a little funky and throw on a denim shirt instead of your typical white button down. The key with the denim shirt is not to cater to it. Put on your normal Monday attire and replace the simple neutral or white button down with the denim top to add some flare. Tuck it into a pencil skirt, throw it on with black skinnies, and throw a cardigan or black blazer on top. This is a great fresh way to start your week stylish with some denim in your life.
