Many of us put just as much thought into what we're going to wear to the gym as we do with our outfits for the day. How I see it, when you look good, you feel better about yourself and that will only make you more motivated to perform better. Wearing the perfect pair of booty shaping spandex or buying a new pair of Nike’s encourages me to give my 110% at the gym. With summer just around the corner, here are some fitness fashion trends you’ll definitely want to check out!

We all have those days when our couch is just too comfortable and finding the motivation to workout seems nearly impossible. If any of you are like me, I can easily find motivation to do nearly anything through music. I decided to let some of my "Running Playlist" leak in hopes of helping you find motivation:
1. Countdown- Beyonce
2. Give Me Everything- Pitbull (feat. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer)
3. Victory Lap- Macklemore
4. Take Care- Drake (feat. Rihanna)

1. It's a stress-busting activity. Interning is hard work and it is essential to make time to blow off some steam. You will perform better on the job when you have had time for release while exercising.
2. You will be a happier intern. It's simple! Individuals who work out on a regular basis are more joyful people. If you exercise, you will be more likely to bring a smile to work.

People tend to do better if there is a goal they have to reach at the end. A great way to stay in shape is to have a competition between you and your friends. Here is a easy and fun step-by-step plan to start the fitness or weight-loss competition between you and your friends!
Step 1: Talk about goals you want to reach. Do you want to lose weight, gain more muscle tone, or just become a healthier person?

Finally some nice weather! It is time to get out of the gym and to get some fresh air... while working out of course! The winter seems to be over (knock on wood) and spring is in the air. Now that the weather is warm, many outdoor sports and activities will begin. Here is a breakdown of their benefits, the muscles that they are working, and how many calories you are burning while participating.

SO....As you all know, my mom told me it was time for me to get working out last week. I know that I should be working out regularly - to feel good if nothing else. However, "knowing" and "doing" are two different things. I promised my mom that if I took last week to myself (to get everything organized) I would start working out this week. Mondays are my favorite days because they are always productive and you can start your work week out on a powerful note but getting done what YOU want.

Everyone knows I speak to my mother several times per day. Yesterday, I was chatting with my mom and updating her on projects and she said, "Laur, there's one more thing you need to add into your life."
I knew she was about to say something annoying. "You need to start working out," she said. Of course, my automatic response was, "why am I fat?" And she replied with, "no but it's just something you need to do."

Your alarm clock blares in your ear as you wake up for another day at the internship. You rush around, throwing on your slacks and making yourself look presentable for another day of work. As you power walk to work, you devour a granola bar and finally open the doors to the company, 15 minutes early. You work tirelessly all day long and turn in around 7 in the evening. Exercise? No, there just isn't enough time for an intern to squeeze a workout in, or so you think.
