I AM INTERN

Hello Everyone,

I’m so excited to report that thousands of students are using our internship site each month, http://www.quarterlife.com/intern and getting successfully placed in great internship opportunities. Some of my favorite placements were at Elevation Talent Agency in NYC, The Academy Awards in LA, and Lawrence Benders Production Company in LA. I’m so happy to hear that all of you had successful summer internships.
The site has been getting some great coverage this month and I really appreciate our audience’s continued support and loyalty.

I’ve taken the summer to do some “leisure traveling” with friends and family, something I don’t do too much of during the school year and my touring schedule. I am in the process of planning my 2009 Fall Speaking Tour. I will announce the tour schedule in a week or so. I’ve been talking about a few of the tour dates on my Twitter page. I just returned from a family vacation to Toronto and Niagara Falls which was wonderful. I suggest checking out the Falls at least once in your lifetime – it’s quite a site. Toronto was amazing and I did get a chance to attend a few Tampa Bay Ray games which was so much fun.

I did get the opportunity to attend my first two conference as part of the “Recruitment’ industry, NACE in Las Vegas and SHRM in New Orleans. It was so wonderful to meet people that I email with constantly and educate myself on how the industry works, who the main players are, and how I can further develop my business. See, always learning, always some sort of intern !

This Thursday, I’m off to another summer vacation in Portland and Seattle – I’m really looking forward to the trip and will do whatever I can to get a tour of the Nordstrom headquarters in Seattle ! (It’s my favorite). As I continue my travels, I hope that you will all continue to apply for internships and really get focused on your career for the upcoming 2009 – 2010 schoolyear. It should be an exciting one!
