Motormouthmedia aims to be affordable and forward-thinking and has the juice to get our clients the media coverage they need. Clients span the musical spectrum in size and nature, but they all have one thing in common: goodness. Motormouthmedia handles clients from top to bottom, from blogs/online sites to national television and every large newspaper and entertainment magazine in the country. We’ve booked multitudes of national TV appearances (Colbert, Leno, Kimmel, CBS News, Letterman, Conan, Fallon, Ferguson, Daly, Good Day NY, CNN, Tavis Smiley, Mo’Nique, Austin City Limits etc) and have placed features for our bands at spots like The New Yorker, The New York Times, NY Times Magazine, NPR, GQ, Spin, Elle, Spin, Women’s Day, Details, Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, Harper’s Baazar, The Fader, Blackbook, Vanity Fair and tons more. We also work very closely with blogs and online media and have long-standing relationships with online music outlets such as Pitchforkmedia and Stereogum.
In addition to music publicity, Motormouthmedia consults with both labels and brands on marketing strategies and helps build brand awareness.

In the past few years we have worked with such critically acclaimed artists as Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Yeasayer, Deerhunter, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Joanna Newsom, No Age, Beirut, Deerhunter, Atlas Sound, Bon Iver, Black Mountain, Surfer Blood, Flying Lotus, Destroyer, Caribou, Marnie Stern, Atlas Sound, RZA, Femi Kuti, Four Tet, Gang Gang Dance, Zola Jesusand multitudes more. The company has worked many gold and platinum high- profile reissue campaigns with Universal Music and Sony Legacy (music and DVD) for Nirvana, Sonic Youth, REM, Beck, U2, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, White Zombie, Queens of the Stone Age Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Motown and others. Motormouth also aims for project diversity and we have worked on many unique campaigns including: the first season of This American Life TV Showon Showtime to the DVD Documentary LOVE, that chronicles the career Arthur Lee and Love. We also spent five years representing Free Yr Radio, a program crafted by Yaris and Urban Outfitters to support independent radio.

Motormouthmedia also is conscious of the world in which we live. We regularly support causes including MS Society of America, The Luekemia and Lymphoma Society, Parkinson Research Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood among others.

Internship Duties: 

Public Relations internship in the music industry. 2 days a week, 11AM-6PM. Students learn all aspects of music PR and are given the opportunity to learn how to run a successful business. Interns learn how to run media campaigns by assisting with PR searches for our clients and learning about all the media outlets we have relationships with. This is important when trying to build contacts in the industry. Interns assist heavily with press reports. help craft press releases and learn the ins and outs of the music industry in a fast paced office environment. Dedicated interns are always invited to concerts/industry events and have access to our entire catalog of music.
