Don Congdon Associates, established in 1983, represents a wide variety of genres including literary fiction, mystery/thrillers, humor, women's fiction, history, and biography/memoir. Internship Duties: 

Don Congdon Associates is seeking an intern who is detail-oriented, well-read in contemporary titles, and enthusiastic about learning the inner-workings of a literary agency. Responsibilities include evaluating manuscripts and query letters as well as light administrative duties such as answering phones and corresponding with authors. Special independent projects will be assigned based on ability and interest.

We are looking for someone who has confidence in his/her reading ability and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have some prior office experience. The position is for two days per week.

WHO: Our photo intern program is open to graduate students, and to students who
graduated within the past 12 months as well. We highly prefer candidates to have had at
least one prior internship, preferably within the photography field with photo research
experience. You do not have to be a journalism major to apply.

Internship Duties: 

WHAT:
The tasks include extensive photo research (mainly with celebrity stock photo agencies),
syndicating images, confirming photo credits and maintaining our image archive of
celebrity events, fashion and beauty products. Our photo interns assist with invoices,
ensuring vendors get paid on-time, in addition to various entry-level tasks which includes
photo production assistance (booking cars for clients, catering services for shoots)
mailing out magazines, picking up/dropping off products to our Time Inc. photo studio.

WHEN: Our internship program requires a minimum of three months. We pay $8.00 an
hour with overtime if hours exceed 10am-6pm.

WHERE: InStyle editorial internships take place in the Time & Life Building, located in
Rockefeller Center, in the heart of New York City. All interns must be available to work
full-time, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
