You'll be a member of our newsroom, work hard and gain valuable journalism experience. You get paid, too. Our Pulliam Fellows earn $650/week for the 10-week program. You'll also get to participate in writing workshops and learn over lunch from some of the best minds in journalism. Additionally, many former Pulliam Fellows have returned as guest lecturers, including Adam B. Ellick, foreign correspondent, New York Times, and John Fritze, reporter, Baltimore Sun.

Am I qualified for this journalism program?
College juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled in a journalism or related degree program as of Nov. 1, 2014, are eligible. Previous newspaper journalism internships and/or experience as a journalist on a college newspaper are preferred. You need to be committed to a career in news journalism. As a Pulliam Journalism Fellowship recipient you will be treated like a member of the newsroom and get valuable experience, plus up to $6,500. Pulliam Fellows earn $650/week for the 10-week program.Salaries are based upon actual hours worked. In additional to working in your chosen specialty area of news, feature or sports reporting, photography, copy editing, graphic design, you will also participate in writing workshops and lunch with some of the finest minds in journalism.

Recipients serve their fellowship at either The Indianapolis Star or The Arizona Republic.

Internship Duties: 

Us Weekly is looking for qualified individuals to intern in the editorial department of the magazine's New York headquarters for the Fall semester. Candidates must be highly-motivated, organized, upbeat and responsible individuals with a genuine passion for entertainment/celebrity news and pop culture. The internship program lasts 13 weeks max., and interns are expected to work a minimum of two full days in the office (no telecommuting).
