Chanel, Inc. is looking for passionate, mature and professional interns who will shadow the Wholesale RTW (Ready-to-Wear) team in their daily responsibilities, including but not limited to: sales analysis, competitive market research, and trunk show preparation.

Inside Chanel

Internship Duties: 

Projects and activities include:
- Shadowing the RTW Sales department in the everyday functions as well as sales analyst projects.
- Shadowing RTW Account Executives with weekly sales analysis.
- Attending US RTW market appointments and learn how to conduct analysis of each buy
- Attending and gain exposure to RTW trunk shows and special events
- Coordinating client bookings for Wholesale Specialists

Learning objectives include:
- Enhancing Excel and analytical skills
- Learning how to run sell through reports on a weekly basis for our boutique and wholesale RTW accounts
- Learning about competition by performing competitive market research within New York

Skills and Knowledge/Pre-requisites:
Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills
Must be data driven and comfortable working with numbers
Eager to learn

Minimum Education:
Junior/Senior Students – Undergraduate – preferably majoring in Marketing/Finance/Business/Economics.

Minimum Experience:
At least one previous related internship with a fashion brand

Projects and activities include:

- Learning how to coordinate the Marketing materials and distribution to Boutiques

Job Description
• Assist in servicing deals with new sales accounts through phone calls, trade shows, e-mail marketing, physical mailings, special events, social media and other creative methods.
• Assist in managing new and existing accounts throughout the entire lifecycle: write sales orders, acquire signed terms agreements, data entry into Persifor’s order systems/website, liaise with fulfillment center to ship merchandise, assist in generating re-orders.
• Handle day to day customer service requests from online shoppers and wholesale accounts.
• Work closely with distribution center to ensure timely deliveries and accounting of returns.
• Research trunk shows’ to promote brand awareness and sales.
• Assist in developing PR and brand awareness through building relationships with bloggers, creative collaborations and other social media influencers.
• Assist in photo-shoots, dress fittings, and printing of sales materials.

Skills Required
• Ideal candidate will have a background in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks and a strong interest in the fashion industry.
• Understanding of women’s contemporary market and keen eye for merchandising and design.
• Capable of thinking creatively and solve problems independently.
• Ability to lift and carry large packages.
