Internship Duties: 

Overview: We're looking for a fall tech intern who loves coding on the server side. If you enjoy writing PHP, Ruby, Python or Node, this internship is for you! Come expand your technology horizons, build products that scale, and get your work in front of millions of young people.

What you'll do: work on one of our major products here! That could mean:

PHP/Drupal based dosomething.org website.
PHP/Laravel user API and API admin application.
Node/RabbitMQ messaging systems:
Objective-C iPhone app/Java Android app.
Python/Flask live data dashboard.

What we're looking for:

You know at least one programming language
You've worked with RESTful APIs before.
You recognize and advocate for clean code.
Curiosity and passion for experimenting with new technologies.

Internship Duties: 

Overview: The business development team works with awesome companies who care about young people and social change. Our team is responsible for creating, pitching, and maintaining relationships with corporate sponsors to support our national cause campaigns that activate young people nationwide around social change. We LOVE big ideas, Beyoncé and baked goods.

What you’ll do:

Research companies and brands that care about young people
Cold outreach to potential new sponsors
Brainstorm new marketing and outreach ideas
Assist in the management of our current campaigns/sponsor relations
Assist in creating decks and one sheets
Some administrative work as necessary

What we're looking for:

Outgoing and enthusiastic personality. We want a go-getter!
Knowledge of the youth trends of the moment
Comfortable talking with the CMO of any company
Ability to brainstorm on the spot
Excellent communication skills: solid grammar, ability to write concisely, good on the phone
