Pittsburgh Magazine Design Internship
Since 1969, Pittsburgh Magazine has been the region's most-read magazine. Built on the foundation of independent quality journalism, our magazine serves as a trusted information partner for engaged residents. Pittsburgh is now a buzz city, a center for health care, technology, the arts and more—and we've documented its growth along the way.
Design interns assist the art director as well as the assistant designer.
Possible duties include the following:
• Lay out various stories for the magazine
• Create and resize ads for print and online
• Create splash banners that will appear on various channels on
pittsburghmagazine.com
• Revamp existing templates for special advertising sections and other
magazine features
• Occasionally assist on location at photo shoots
• Edit photos and/or video, depending on skill set and availability of such projects
Applicants must be proficient in Adobe software, including InDesign, Photoshop
and Illustrator. Working knowledge of iMovie is a plus, as well as possessing photography skills.
We're looking for a creative, self-driven individual with proven design skills. Because designers help convey a written message, visionary types need apply.
