Pittsburgh Magazine Editorial Internship
Since 1969, Pittsburgh Magazine has been the region's most-read magazine. Built on the foundation of independent quality journalism, our magazine serves as a trusted information partner for engaged residents. Pittsburgh is now a buzz city, a center for health care, technology, the arts and more—and we've documented its growth along the way.
Editorial interns complete various tasks during their time at Pittsburgh Magazine. While their primary responsibility is fact-checking, they may also copy edit and help research components for future stories. Additionally, interns post events to the online calendar and are normally given opportunities to write for the e-newsletters.
Since each semester is different, it'd be hard to find two students who had the same experience. However, each student should notice by the end of their internship that they have sharper interpersonal, editing and writing skills. This can be attributed to the tasks completed during their shifts in the office as well as at the events they attended, where networking opportunities are at an all-time high.
Interns are acknowledged in the magazine's masthead.
