Community & Media Assistant – Do you like commenting on people’s thoughts and opinions? How about leading discussions? Do you Tweet? Hang out on Facebook? We are looking for great communicators who are very comfortable with social media. If this sounds like you, then you will enjoy this position.

As a Community & Media Assistant intern, you’ll have an opportunity to gain experience in managing an online community, create viral campaigns; daily blogging and microblogging; supporting Twitter parties; supporting online training sessions; participate in focus groups; implement social media & networking strategies, as well as learn and participate in innovative marketing campaigns.

Additional Info: 

Responsibilities include commenting and facilitating discussions on various blogs; enforce Community Guidelines when necessary; outreach and participate in other related websites and blogs; assist in marketing campaigns; participate in forums; promote events and workshops.

Hours: 20 hours a week. This is a virtual position, so scheduling the 20 hours to work is the Interns responsibility. Deadlines must be met and the Intern must be able to work in a virtual capacity.

Studio Lambert Internship

Bio: 

Studio Lambert is an international television production company with shows in production for major networks and cable outlets. We are seeking motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic interns for our Los Angeles offices. Interns should be able to work a minimum of one full day a week for consecutive weeks. All current students majoring in production, communications or marketing are encouraged to apply. Interns contribute to the efficient functioning of our production offices. Tasks include but are not limited to answering phones, researching, screening and logging field tapes. Responsibilities will increase with demonstrated ability to handle assigned tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to see all aspects of production!

WordHustler is looking for a few good interns who are interested in learning about the publishing industry first-hand. WordHustler was founded by two hip, down-to-earth writers who are looking for creative people who are passionate about writing.

Small Blurb on Intern Duties:

Duties will include researching and writing on our blog WordHustlerInk, helping with contests, updating our markets database, talking to agents, editors and publishers, and helping our grassroots marketing campaigns.

Most of the internship can be done from your home, but will require trips to our office and various bookstores around LA. Car/driving is a plus. We'd love English, Communications, Film/TV or Creative Writing majors, or even Econ/Business majors who have some writing experience, and are computer-savvy, cheerful, and dependable. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a political committee devoted to increasing the 178-member Republican Conference in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The NRCC's origins date back to 1866, when the Republican caucuses of the House and Senate formed a "Congressional Committee." Today, the NRCC supports the election of Republicans to the House through direct financial contributions to candidates and Republican Party organizations; technical and research assistance to Republican candidates and Party organizations; voter registration, education and turnout programs; and other Party-building activities.
The NRCC is governed by its chairman, U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions (TX-32), and an executive committee composed of Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Depending on which department a prospective intern plans on applying to, duties will differ. Our committee consists of seven primary departments. They and their duties are as follows:

Communications
• Field reporter calls
• Manage media databases
• Manage press clip service
• Load and possibly author press releases in certain cases

E-Campaign
• Assemble blog lists
• Blog monitoring
• Social network sites monitoring
• Tracking video (as needed/interested)
• Cross posting to various sites
• Other duties as needed

Executive
• Support meetings of the Executive staff
• Coordinate and maintain photo process
• Assist with front desk operations
• Contact database management
• Manage call suites

Finance
• Assist Finance staff in their day-to-day operations
• Research information on donors
• Event coordination
• Data entry
• Participate in our major fundraising events (March Dinner, House/Senate dinner, etc)
• Assist with depositing checks
• Assemble and maintain lists in databases

Political
• Assisting Political staff with daily operations
• Research and special projects
• Answering phones
• Maintains political databases
• Assisting with political events
• Reading through daily press clips

Research
• Assisting the department with day-to-day operations
• Monitoring congressional races across the country
• Aiding analysts with opposition research books
• Analyzing FEC reports, legislative records, media files etc…
• Tracking events around Capitol Hill
• Conducting a variety of independent, in-depth research projects

Treasury
• Assisting Treasury staff with ongoing operations
• Accounting/Assisting with FEC reporting
• Analyzing and reviewing FEC reports
• Assisting with database and bank reconciliation
• Learning about the relation between money and congressional campaigns
• Data Entry/Scanning Documents
• Information and record management
