Attention all college students in Boston and the New England area! Put down those books and set aside those notes, COLLEGEFEST IS ABOUT TO INVADE BOSTON!!! The 27th annual CollegeFest takes over the Hynes Convention Center on Saturday, September 22, from noon-7pm and Sunday, September 23, from noon-6pm. Have you heard of CollegeFest? Well, you’re in for a great treat.

CollegeFest is an annual event where over 15,000 college students, from 60 plus colleges around Boston and the New England area attend. They enjoy non-stop entertainment from national recording artists, 15 local bands, and 25 plus performances from different student organizations in the Boston area.

Attendees and college students can expect many different things at the event this year. One of the biggest perks is all the FREE SWAG you can get while at CollegeFest. Various national companies such as Live Nation, the entertainment and concert ticket company, Princeton Review, the educational company, which publishes college guides and test materials publications, and Kaplan Test Prep all serve as exhibitors.

The event live performances will be from headliners such as Wale, The Cataracs, Kap Slap, and many others. CollegeFest will also feature some hot and interesting upcoming artists from many genres of music. There’s something for everyone to jam and rock out to. Expect performances from Fame or Juliet, a trio band, Jeremias, Caleb, and J. Forte, all 19-years old. The guys recently released their first mixtape, entitled “Dreams of Reality,” a collection of songs that have motivational and inspirational messages.

Are you worried about being low on cash? Well CollegeFest is affordable for a college students budget. Admission is $15 for a two-day pass, which you can pay by cash, Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, or Discover. Tickets are available online at for only $10. The attire is comfortable clothing such as jeans, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes, so you don’t have to worry about getting all dressed up.

A fun event to attend with friends, roommates, and other college students, CollegeFest is the most heavily attended back to school event. Derek D, also known as Derek DeAngelis, hosts the fun, exciting, and fun-filled event. He’s an actor, comedian, and host from New Jersey. This will be his 7th year hosting CollegeFest.

Grab some friends, classmates, and roommates and head on over to CollegeFest. Walk around and mingle with other college students like yourself, grab some free swag, talk with companies, and enjoy yourself. The Hynes Convention Center is located at 900 Boylston Street.
