As summer comes to an end, so do summer internships. If you are closing in on the final weeks at the office here are a few things that you may want to consider.
Networking. If you have not done already get connected with your co-workers either through social networking sites such as linked in or simply keep their e-mails and phone contacts in a close spot. These professionals and co-workers you have interacted with throughout the summer can come in great handy throughout the school year or with future job perspectives.
Document. Document what you have done throughout your internship so that in the future you have something to look back on. You may not remember something small that may have happened throughout the course of the internship that you may want to remember. Keep documentation of meetings and interactions you have had with your co-workers. But of course follow company privacy laws.
Have you done all you wanted? If there is something that you wanted to do at your internship but just quite have not gotten to it, address it! Most employers want you to learn the most out of your experience.
Enjoy yourself. Even though you are there to learn you are also there to pursue what you love doing! So make connections, document your experiences and take every advantage that is offered to you.
