Have no fear, the Intern Queen is here! First of all, if you are 16 and thinking about your resume - you deserve a round of applause. Seriously, you should be very impressed with yourself. This is a great time to start putting together your resume. When I was 16, I applied for my first part-time job and I had to get a resume together! The first thing you want to think about is your previous experience. At this point in your life, you probably haven't worked (unless you've helped out your parents or a family member at work) and you probably haven't held an internship. Before you say that you have no experience, think for a second. Have you volunteered before? What type of volunteer experience do you have? Perhaps you did something through school? Temple? Church? Volunteer experience is great to list on a resume. Another great option is to list activities/clubs that you are involved with on-campus. When I was in high school, I was the co-captain of the dance team and I held an executive position with my HS Student Government. This kind of information is great to put on your resume.
See! You think you have NO experience and then you find out...you have more experience than you think! Good luck! X
