Q: Hey. I&m a recent graduate and I&m having a hard time finding jobs that are "in between". I can&t do internships that require receiving internship credit at a college....bc I&m graduated and the other jobs I find are ones that require years of experience. What internships are out there for someone like me that needs the experiences but too "old" for normal internships.
A: Hi! Recent grads taking on internships is definitely very popular. If you decide to take on an internship after graduation I suggest you look for a large company with high turnover, that way you have more of a chance of a position becoming available during or after your internship. Otherwise, you are going to want to look for entry-level and assistant jobs. I suggest getting in contact with old internship coordinators and professional contacts and setting up informational meetings. They cannot hire you if they don&t know you are looking. Make sure you are sitting down and devoting at least 4-5 hours per day to your job search. Keep track of all of your applications and remember that following up on resumes is key and will help you stand out from the rest. Good luck and don&t give up!
