Intern Essentials: The Flat

This  is a guest blog written by Danielle one of Lauren&s own Interns!

Let me just say that being a young women who only measures in at exactly 5 feet (I use to be 4& 11" and 3/4 but I just went to my doctor and I grew YAY!). Anyways someone like me who is just 5 feet does not take the idea of flats lightly. Trust me if you open my closet you will see heels, heels, and more heels, but as I am getting older and soon to be a graduate I realize that my time of only heels is coming to an end.

We all know the life of an intern and even as a career woman, heels are just not practical. So myself and the rest of us at Intern Queen Inc. wanted to help you find the best Flats for this fall interning season. Even you flat-phobia ladies will want these cuties!

1. The InternQueen&s Pick: Corso Como Flat

These are Lauren&s go to Favs! They are comfortable and portable, since they come with a little bag. That is perfect for the lady on the go who needs to wear heels in the office but not to the office. They come in 12 colors so you are sure to find one to match your outfit. I just fell in love with these bronze snakeskin ones, perfect for fall. I found them on Amazon for just $60, which is not bad at all for something you will probably wear all the time.

2. The Nude Flat

We all know Nude was the hot color this summer and so rightfully it will probably makes its way into the Fall. I found these great lacey nude flats by Chinese Laundry, they also come in black and brown, at for only $40. This is a fun and flirty way to reinvent the nude trend. I mean c&mon how could you say no to a bow.

3. Color Blocking Flat

Color Blocking is HUGE right now and will continue to be this fall. The only difference is the colors are very bright and neon now, but for fall try and take it down a notch to cool colors. Which is why we love this Lafayette Flat by JS Jessica Simpson in Yacht Kid Suede. Such a fun color that could totally work for color blocking. These are just $70 at Shopping Tip: JS collection can always be found at discount brand stores like TjMaxx and Marshalls. You will find many of her shoes for a steal!

4. The Cheetah Flat

Cheetah will be the "it" print this fall combining all the fall colors. This is such an exciting way to dress up a one color outfit. This flat is totally appropriate for the office with its toe being black not making the cheetah print overwhelming. These are from White House Black Market for just $40.

5. The Dressy Flat

For that night out on the town where you will be walking all over, or for hanging out after a successful presentation, you will need a dressier pair of flats. That&s where we look to our main girl Jessica Simpson again for these Lepolia Flats. They are glittery and embellished with such a glamorous jewel how could you not want these in your closet? We found them at for $70.
