Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

Nortrax, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern. Nortrax is a John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment Dealer. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, we are 55 locations strong throughout eastern and central regions of the United States and Canada. Nortrax specializes in new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, and product support.

This Accounting Intern position is responsible for providing financial analysis and general ledger support for our US main office and regional branches. The position will be located in the Main Office in Tampa. In this position, you will:

•Assist with month-end close activities, including gathering back-up support and preparing journal entries.

•Assist in performing detailed and timely account reconciliations. Also, performs research and follow-up on aging items.

•Assist with maintaining our electronic filing of journal entries, vendor payments, sales packages, etc.

•Assist in performing various internal control compliance reviews.

•Assists with the creation of excel templates

•Assist with annual budgeting process

•Performs ad-hoc requests for analysis and/or information related to the business.

Qualifications:

•The Intern must be currently obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

•Good understanding of GAAP

•Good Microsoft Excel skills

•Self-starter with a strong desire to learn

•Strong organizational and time management skills
