About Boss Babes Do Brunch NYC: 

Boss Babes Do Brunch is a networking and experiential event platform that helps to connect and cultivate female creatives, entrepreneurs, professionals, and influencers. We curate luxury experiences that facilitate learning and networking via our brunch seminars, workshops, pop ups, and galas both live and in the virtual event space.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:

Our ideal candidate who has confident communication and people skills. Assistant feature editors are expected to possess the ability to effectively manage projects and demonstrates organizational skills with the ability to work comfortably under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, this candidate should demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and a keen interest in shaping an organization’s image and values through appropriate communication to the outside world. Top candidates will display natural leadership qualities with fantastic time management and planning skills.

SKILLS: Communication, Interview skills, detailed note taker, mind mapping / brainstorming, excellent writing skills, Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work independently and with a team,  creative thinking, and known as a innovator. 

REQUIREMENTS: Graduating 2022 (undergrad), working towards a degree in either media communications,  journalism, marketing, or PR. Our ideal candidate has an extroverted personality, 1-2 years of previous experience with public and/or media relations, previous experience working or interning for a publication company, school newspaper or digital newsletter. Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills


Identify press opportunities 

Develop content for dissemination via digital channels 

Ensure that key messages align with vital business strategies.

Serve as the organization’s media liaison and formal spokesperson.

Scan media marketplace to keep up-to-date on the latest media trends.

Promote additional projects to support new product launches.

Build long-term relationships with media influencers.

Internship Description of Duties: 
Are you a people person looking to improve your communication skills & get your foot in the door to the media industry? The Assistant Features Editor Internship at BBDB may be just the position for you! We are launching our digital magazine this summer and need you to be apart of the magic! The features editor is in charge of coming up with ideas for and commissioning the features sections of the magazine. Features editors will work across a broad range of topics - from current affairs, to feminism, to tech, health, and relationships. Your role will include researching potential features for our monthly digital magazine and working closely with staff writers to develop a storyline to present to the executive team for approval. You will then prepare a pitch and questions to conduct an interview of the feature.
