Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

• Junior or Senior in a Bachelor’s Degree program Minimum 3.2 GPA who will receive educational credit for this internship

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point will enhance the learning opportunities of this position

• A strong appreciation of fashion, style and design, and a strong affinity for fashion accessories

• A keen understanding of the female consumer

Internship Description of Duties: 
The Public Relations intern will report to the Manager of Public Relations/PR Specialist and will learn and “shadow” Charming Charlie employees responsible for supporting the global Public Relations strategy for the brand. This person will learn about sample trafficking and inventory control, tracking and scanning product placements in all press outlets, monthly credit reports, influencer seeding/identification, facilitating media appointments and seasonal press events / store events. The Public Relations intern will be based in New York or Houston and will have opportunities to learn from the Marketing team based in Los Angeles and corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. WHAT YOU WILL DO: • foster an understanding of brand and business’s global Public Relations strategy • assist with showroom appointments, tracking inventory requests and managing the sample database • track and scan editorial coverage and assist with monthly reporting and analytics • research potential national and regional influencers for store openings and brand building initiatives • influencer gifting and celebrity product seeding • seasonal press previews and in-store events
