Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

•  Junior or Senior in a Bachelor’s Degree program Minimum 3.2 GPA who will receive educational credit for this internship

•  Interest in Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest

•  Excellent written and oral communication skills

•  Basic understanding of social media analytics

•  Knowledge of Hootsuite or how to schedule social posts is desired, but not required

•  Fearless attitude towards technology and a willingness to learn

•  Creative Drive

•  Basic understanding of Photoshop

Internship Description of Duties: 
The Social Media intern will report to the Social Media Manager and will learn and “shadow” Charming Charlie employees responsible for supporting the global PR + Marketing strategy for the brand. The Social Media intern will be based in New York and will have opportunities to learn from the onsite Public Relations team, Marketing team based in Los Angeles, and corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. WHAT YOU WILL DO: • foster an understanding of the brand’s global PR + Marketing strategy • curate content for social media channels • brainstorm and create social media campaigns • monitore current social campaigns and suggesting revisions when necessary • support Community Management for all channels • research potential national and regional influencers for brand building initiatives
