Lottie is an award-winning, innovative doll.
Based on the researched scientific proportions of a girl aged nine (with the exception of her head which is slightly larger to allow for hair play), she is sculpted at 7.5” in height to suit the average age of its user which is 6 years of age. Lottie does not wear make-up, jewelry or high heels; she can stand on her own two feet. The packaging is designed with minimal ties and blister and encourages reuse.
Lottie has saran nylon hair to reduce hair tangle, her richly colored fabrics are tactile, highly detailed and easy to dress with Velcro fastenings.
Since launching in late 2012 Lottie is now on sale in over 1500 stores across 14 countries, she has received international media coverage from The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, Toronto Star etc.
This is a remote (virtual) internship with communication via email.
We are looking to create fun and educational downloads for kids of K>2 age. These relate loosely to our doll themes and will be used as free downloads on our website as well as social media channels.
We'd like to recruit interns who can assist us with researching and writing these up.
The downloads are approximately 800 words, or thereabouts; nothing over 1000 words.
Some example themes we are looking to cover include:
Butterfly life cycle
Lighthouses (role of lighthouses)
Plants / Pollination
Ancient Greece (myths)
We are happy for you to do one, or however many you have time or inclination to do.
We are entirely flexible.
As these are remote internships, we expect the project to be carried out around your day to day responsibilities and academic commitments.
The aim of the internship is to work to a style guide in terms of brand feel and tone, and deliver age-appropriate educationally themed content.
Supervision will be by the Creative Director.
