About TresseNoire : is a new web-based service provider of on-demand, on-location beauty appointments for women of color. TresseNoire’s hair and makeup artists are textured hair experts who specialize in blowouts, braids, twists, darker skin tones and more. The founders of the company have been ‘naturalistas’ for over 15 years, and uniquely understand the challenges of looking effortlessly fabulous. They are on a mission to empower women of all textures with quality styling to give them back some quality time. 

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

Are you a beauty bawse in training? A driven self-starter? Do you love marketing, business development, or startup entrepreneurship? Crave experience at an early-stage startup?
I'm excited to share a new opportunity with TresseNoire, an on-demand, at-home beauty booking app designed for the multicultural consumer. We’re looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial and energetic team member who can support all aspects of business development strategy for the company. 

Forget mailing letters and doing mindless research on the interwebs. You’ll have a chance to put your networks, creatvity and resourcefulness towards strategizing and executing innovative strategies. This is an unpaid position, but more than an internship. It can either be carried out remotely/virtually or on-site in NYC or Philadelphia (with a small stipend).

GPA 2.8 or Higher

All Majors Welcome

Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or other creative suites preferred

Familiarity with Wordpress a PLUS

Laptop, WiFi & Cell phone required.

Internship Description of Duties: 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Design vibrant, creative brand advertising campaigns that resonate with target customer Support PR initiatives including special events, private media/editor events Conduct extensive research on media contacts, investors and product partnerships Cultivate new relationships with editors, stylists, bloggers and celebrities to acquire strategic placement in print and online media Generate social media content for FB/IG/Twitter, monitor trends in Social Media tools, channels, design & strategy Generate reports using Google Analytics, Iconosquare, HootSuite   Administrative: schedule appointments, transportation, order supplies, organize database etc.   WHAT YOU'LL GAIN: Possible course credit (must be discussed with your school)  Marketing/Biz Dev Skills training and entrepreneurial startup experience  Ability to work directly with founder/CEO and receive mentorship  Likely letter of recommendation Fabulous Hair & Makeup appointments! DURATION: Four-month minimum commitment, with an agreement to find your replacement!
