Demand Media internships are extremely competitive. All applicants must be enrolled in college courses and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better. Applicants must be available 15-25 hours a week during regular business hours for eight weeks.
The internship is for college credit only, but there are plenty of perks, including free parking, kitchens plentifully stocked with snacks and drinks, an office between the Third Street Promenade and the beach, and the opportunity to work at a company on the cutting edge of the journalism industry.
To apply, please submit a résumé, writing sample (no research papers, please) and cover letter explaining why you want to work at Demand. Previous publishing experience and familiarity with social media are big pluses, but not requirements.
