Internship Program: The candidate has the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector and contribute to development and marketing efforts. Excellent hands-on experience for college students or recent graduates pursuing a career in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Communications, Event Planning, Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing or other related fields

Responsibilities: The Dress for Success Worldwide-West internship incorporates hands-on experience with event planning for The Power Walk for Dress for Success fundraiser scheduled for September 27, 2014. The intern will work side by side with the Development Manager to activate this national event at the local level. Intern will take the lead in managing event logistics. Projects can include but are not limited to: donor research, creation of solicitation materials, special events planning, data entry, grant writing, other development-related tasks, as needed.

Requirements: Passion for Dress for Success mission. Excellent communication skills, writing, knowledge of excel and power point a must. Detail oriented with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Intern is energetic and eager to learn, professional and enjoys taking initiative.

Hours: 20 hours a week. Intern could work some hours remotely when appropriate.

Compensation: School credit only.
