Girl Talk, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered-nonprofit that aims to build teenagers' self-esteems through leadership, mentorship, and community service opportunities. This is done by offering programs where high school girls mentor middle school girls to help the middle school girls get through the trials and triumphs of the middle school years.
-A student interested in creative writing, editing or journalism who is looking for an unpaid and part-time (20 hours/week) internship, based in our Atlanta, GA. Office
-Able to work individually as well as with others (especially with members of Girl Talk’s Board of Directors and camp interns)
-Able to design a parent workshop and write the corresponding parent study guide to accompany the bestselling book, The Drama Years by Haley Kilpatrick to be used in book clubs, parent seminars, etc.
-Able to identify potential elementary and parent target audiences.
-Able to market The Drama Years study guide and workshops.
-Develop elementary school and parent work shop materials.
-Identify and train elementary and parent workshop facilitators.
-Conduct workshop evaluations and refine materials and training, as appropriate.
-Comfortable with promoting The Drama Years book and merchandise sales.
-Top notch writing and editing skills that truly capture Girl Talk’s voice.
-Identify the future content for The Drama Years franchise.
-If appropriate, able to organize The Drama Years tours.
-Comfortable interacting with external contacts in a professional manner.
