GlamourGals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to inspire and organize teen volunteers to provide ongoing companionship and complimentary beauty makeovers to women living in senior homes. Our volunteers build a deeper sense of community. They enact local change, creating confidence in their ability to make a difference. Through mentorship, training, and our leadership curriculum, the GlamourGals National team supports the personal and professional development of our volunteers.
Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:
The ideal candidate has an interest in the nonprofit sector and has experience in social media content creation, and excellent communication skills (including email writing, speaking, and telephone etiquette), attention to detail, and organizational skills. We are looking for a self-starter who has a willingness to learn and a can-do positive attitude.
Interns must be available to work virtually at least two days per week (Monday - Friday) between 10 AM - 4 PM EST and attend occasional weekend events.
Duration: Spring 2021 (January - May with the possibility to extend) Hours are flexible depending on your schedule.

Internship Description of Duties:
GlamourGals is seeking a college student to join our team as a Social Media and Event Planning intern for the Spring 2021 semester. We will need your help in drafting social media and blog content, event preparation for our virtual Power Brunch and Glammys events in February and May respectively, and day-to-day operations.
