Find Your Internship

College to Congress provides students an 8-week internship in Congress during the busy summer months leading up to recess. This internship will provide a close-up experience to our legislative process, the role of Congress, and core job and life skills for a successful future.


College to Congress guarantees their program attendees three benefits:


Secure Congressional internships for students who are FAFSA/Pell Grant eligible, a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed their sophomore year.*

Cover costs associated with a summer internship, including transportation to Washington D.C., housing, wardrobe stipend, and a meal stipend.

Mentor students and provide a forum to interact and learn from Members of Congress, current and past hill staff, and corporate partners.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 


Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and meet the following criteria:


You must have completed your sophomore year and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution).

You must qualify for FAFSA Federal Aid (Pell Grant). A Student Aid Report (SAR) will be required as proof of your FAFSA eligibility.*

You must be available to live in Washington, D.C. from June 3rd to July 31st


* If you do not qualify for a pell grant please still apply and use the "additional information" portion on the application to share why you need this scholarship.
