AlleyNYC is a looking for editorial interns to join our team for the summer to shake up the world with prose.You’ll be planning out articles, preparing newsletters, and in every way personifying all that is AlleyNYC. Your writing skills must shine. Candidates should be able to dedicate at least 2-3 days per week.
You’ll be able to work in all facets of our coworking business, but this position focuses on Communications & Journalism
Participating in the writing of newsletters
Journalism, creative writing, etc.
Assist as needed on main AlleyNYC marketing campaigns
EVENT SUPPORT (via editorials, interviews, etc)
If you have experience writing for a brand or publisher (preferably 1-2 years)
If you are ready to bust your ass.
If you know how to keep a schedule.
If you have a keen knowledge of current trends in the entrepreneurial, startup, & streetwear market and culture.
If you have an active presence on more than 2 social platforms
If you have a strong writing ability and great interpersonal communication skills
If you have a sense of humor
If you have have basic Gmail and Google apps experience.
If you are picky about grammatical errors.
If you have an extreme attention to detail and ability to self-edit
If you can flexibly schedule/availability to cover breaking news and developments around the community
If you have 1-2 years of writing/journalism experience with a proven track record. (If you don’t, no problem you might feel like you do when you’re done with us.)
