Katalyst Media, headquarters located in Los Angeles, is an original content production company creating Digital Media, Television and Film properties. Founded in 2005 by partners, Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, Katalyst film credits include The Butterfly Effect and Guess Who, Spread and, recently released, Killers. Television property credits include the hit series Punk'd and Beauty and the Geek. Four internship positions are available. We are looking for a design/brand intern, digital intern, film intern and production intern.
DESIGN/BRAND INTERN: Intern needed to aid in all graphic related advertising/promotional materials, with a strong emphasis in providing graphic design support. Essentials functions include: producing and designing advertising/graphic design projects for corporate, such as production on promotional content, as well updating guidelines, and collateral material for sales/marketing, provide assistance with any graphic or photographic materials, and assist in keeping inventory on all images, organizing archives and old material for the department. Applicant must be detail oriented, work independently, and show initiative, resourcefulness, and dedication. Must have experience or familiarity with using Adobe Creative Suite 3 or 4 (Illustrator, Photoshop & After Effects).
DIGITAL INTERN: Digital interns needed to assist with digital properties. Duties include, but are not limited to, content upload & syndication, production support & brief errands, and database management. Knowledge of HTML and Excel useful but not required. Ideal candidate possesses a strong interest and understanding of social web/networks (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, & MySpace) and video on the web.
FILM INTERN: Interest in film development is a must; duties include script coverage, brief errands, and supporting the Director of Film Development.
PRODUCTION INTERN: An interest in production is desired; duties include, but are not limited to, supporting the Vice President of Production, organizing and prepping shoots, dealing with logistics, helping to facilitate communication, and assisting with basic finance processes. Knowledge of Excel is required. Applicants must be detail oriented, multi-tasking, and willing to learn.
