Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:
As an Associate Content Strategist at Likeable Media, you will help the Creative Department produce quality and innovative work to be presented to major brands. This is your chance to combine your writing skills with your social media knowledge. Blogs, tweets, and other text-based media will be written by you. We’re looking for someone eager to start their career in the online writing/editing world or in the social media marketing world.
Expectations: This is not a typical internship. We’re looking for students who attend NYC area schools, are willing to commute to the city, and can work 15 hours per week in the office. There is a monthly stipend and college credit can be earned.
Roles and Responsibilities: Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you will have some routine responsibilities, your role is going to require you to adapt slightly every now and then. However, this list should give you a good idea of what your day to day obligations will be:
Format monthly content calendars and insert custom images where indicated.
Research interesting histories, interesting facts, and quotes related to brands and brand goals.
Perform a competitive analysis of brands’ social presences within various industries (fashion/beauty, technology, food/beverage, etc.)
Create a current events calendar that includes anticipated timely topics (e.g. movie releases, tv show premieres, national holidays, etc.)
Purchase props and stage products for custom creative photo shoots.
Assist full-time Content Strategists in writing FB statuses, Tweets, blog posts for popular brands. Organize brainstorms to help develop client content.
Skills/Qualities: In order to be successful in this position, you need to possess certain skills/qualities:
Experience using social media networks (Ex: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Vine, Spotify, and more.)
Experience writing online or print articles, or experience writing blog posts a plus.
Strong grammar and syntax skills.
An interest in writing web copy.
An interest in learning more about social media for brands.
Strong time management and organization skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
An enthusiastic and outgoing personality
