Expectations: This is not a typical internship. We’re looking for students who attend NYC area schools, are willing to commute to the city, and can work 15 hours per week in the office. There is a monthly stipend and college credit can be earned.
Roles and Responsibilities: Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you will have some routine responsibilities, your role is going to require you to adapt slightly every now and then. However, this list should give you a good idea of what your day to day obligations will be:
Create stunning InDesign presentations based on content submitted by Content Strategists, the Social & PR Manager, and the Executive Assistant to the CEO.
Purchase and stage products for custom creative photo shoots.
Assist Creative Team with various projects.
Assist full-time Art Directors in designing/editing custom images, graphics, and videos for popular brands.
Suggest new and creative ideas in brainstorms
Photograph/edit original imagery that represents a brand’s messaging.
Skills/Qualities: In order to be successful in this position, you need to possess certain skills/qualities:
Experience using social media networks (Ex: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Vine, Spotify, and more.)
Experience writing online or print articles, or experience writing blog posts a plus.
Proficient in current Adobe Creative Suite software
Strong skills and proficiency with InDesign and Photoshop
High level of attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and Power Point).
Projects a high energy, enthusiastic demeanor.
