Established in 1997, the 4A’s Foundation is committed to identifying, developing, empowering and ensuring the most diverse talent enters and succeeds in the marketing industry. We achieve this through programs aimed at discovering and cultivating talent through scholarships, high school initiatives and the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP) fellowship and Alumni communities.
We have provided over $3.5 million dollars to deserving students studying advertising, marketing, media, creative arts and public relations. The MAIP Alumni with over 3,500 professionals is the largest diverse community in the industry. Our High School initiatives have prepared more than 1,000 diverse high school students for careers in Marketing.For over four decades, MAIP has been the industry leader in accomplishing this mission. Unmatched in size and scale, MAIP has evolved into a professional development program and network. We impact the lives of over 3,500 professionals by providing the platform to launch and sustain their careers.
MAIP is a 47 year old national program that provides the advertising industry with the best diverse talent through world-class development opportunities. MAIP fellows are hand selected by industry professionals to begin their careers in advertising. Once selected, fellows engage in a 22-week, nation-wide fellowship that is both virtual and in-agency. In-person internship will take place during the Summer of 2021. In addition to the fellowship, fellows receive professional development opportunities through virtual spring training, one-on-one coaching, MAIP labs and various opportunities to network with MAIP alumni and industry leaders. The goal is to provide fellows the space and opportunity to build a foundation for their careers.
To be eligible to apply for the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program, a student must:
Identify as Black/African-American, LatinX, Asian, Asian Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, Native American, Native Hawaiian, Multiethnic
Be a US Citizen or permanent resident
Currently be a college junior, senior, or graduate student at any accredited, degree-granting college or university, or a student attending a participating 4A’s portfolio school (including Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 graduates);
Preferred GPA of 3.0
Be able to show your passion to kick start a career in advertising and marketing through your essays.
Be available to work for the full duration of the fellowship period (June 7, 2021 - August 13, 2021) and attend The Face of Talent (August 9-13) with no pre-planned time off.
*Students on the quarter system are encouraged to arrange early release with their academic department before applying.
