About Girl Talk, Inc.: 

Girl Talk, Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered-nonprofit that aims to build teenagers' self-esteems through leadership, mentorship, and community service opportunities. This is done by offering programs where high school girls mentor middle school girls to help the middle school girls get through the trials and triumphs of the middle school years.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

New Chapters Intern:
-A student who is looking for an unpaid, part-time internship (20 hours/week).
-Assists Director of Chapters in quarterly Chapter inventory
-Work with the social media intern to update social media outlets for Chapter related news
-Reach out to schools, churches, community centers, etc. to start new Girl Talk Chapters
-Seek creative ways to promote Girl Talk to high school girls
-Set up in person/phone meetings with parties interested in starting a Chapter
-Respond to email and phone inquiries about how to start a Girl Talk Chapter
-Follow up with inquiries made on Girl Talk website
-Assist in Chapter fundraising implementation
-Attend Girl Talk Chapter visits
-Attend Chapter related meetings

Existing Chapters Intern:
-A student who is interested in an unpaid, part-time internship (20 hours/week).
-Assists Director of Chapters in quarterly Chapter inventory
-Work with the social media intern to update social media outlets for Chapter related news
-Assist in weekly Chapter conference calls
-Manage chapter monthly report process
-Respond to email and phone inquiries about how to volunteer with a Girl Talk Chapter
-Follow up with inquiries made on Girl Talk website
-Assist in Chapter fundraising implementation
-Attend Girl Talk Chapter visits
-Attend Chapter related meeting

Hours Required: 
15-30 Hours Per Week
