About Nonprofit Learning Lab: 

The Nonprofit Learning Lab (NLL) is a national organization that connects, supports and develops individuals seeking to lead the nonprofit sector. We work with individuals to sharpen their skills in fundraising, board development, organizational leadership and capacity building. We are committed to fostering relationships and showcasing the expertise of professionals through a network and community of support for those seeking to enter, working in or connected to the nonprofit sector. The Nonprofit Learning Lab was founded by Board Chair, Dr. Leah Weiner whose passion is to ensure that individuals working in the nonprofit sector are armed with best practices, tools and strategies, and a community of peers. Leah has long believed that having a strong network of support makes the day-to-day work of a nonprofit professional much easier!

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to manage projects independently

Ability to work well in groups and outgoing

Detail oriented and organized

Knowledge of how to support, collaborate and work with volunteers

Experience planning programs or events with a professional development focus or a desire to learn

Previous experience volunteering or working for a nonprofit organization or desire to learn

Desire to work in the nonprofit sector after obtaining undergraduate or graduate degree

Experience using social media platforms for professional purposes

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or desire to learn

Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Benefits & Perks: 

Stipend provided ($250 per month) and college credit can be made available 

All interns who complete at least four months of an internship with our nonprofit will be provided with a letter of recommendation and/or can include a reference from our organization on resume

Internship Description of Duties: 
Responsibilities • In collaboration with staff, assist with managing social media accounts • In collaboration with staff, assist with managing professional development calendar • Assist with logistics of the Nonprofit Learning Lab mentor program • Assist with updating records and data entry • Assist with logistical support of our nonprofit institutes • Provide member support as needed
Hours Required: 
12-15 Hours Per Week
