AOL Inc. is now seeking an Online Marketing intern to join our Paid Services team, based in Dulles, Virginia.

If you are data driven, curious about consumer psychology, can think critically, you’re not afraid to be creative in solving business problems, you’re comfortable with a fast-paced production schedule and have a knack for writing copy for online ads, emails and other member communications, this is an excellent opportunity to work at one of the leading internet companies in the country. This individual will work as part of the Paid Services Marketing team. In this role, you will support the marketing team in a variety of ways to help us achieve our goals to manage churn and promote product adoption to our customer base through marketing efforts in email, display and landing page optimization. The more you contribute, the more responsibility we'll hand you. The sky is the limit. It's up to you on how far you can go.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Email, pop up and display campaign strategy, creative development, campaign implementation/coordination and results tracking
• Copy writing for display ads and various customer communications
• Provide your perspective to help continuously improve the AOL member experience and customer experience flows
• Pitch in as needed on larger projects and projects working with the AOL company at large (such as Welcome Screen and other cross-promotion)
• Assist with development of optimization tactics for various online campaigns
• Participate in testing and optimization strategy and development
• Lead campaign analytics, generate reporting, draw conclusions and create recommendations

Our Great Expectations:
• Experienced in customer retention marketing, managing an ecommerce flow and an understanding of the fundamentals of direct response marketing
• Able to take direction and work independently, creatively, and quickly
• Comfortable with rapid-fire communication over email with several people
• Have an eye for ad design and an ability to think like a business owner and also like a customer
• Disciplined and attentive to detail
• An organized multi-tasker who can self-manage his or her time and proactively

What We Look For:
• You’re a currently enrolled college MBA or masters level student
• Have a passion for technology and love learning cutting-edge industry trends
• Know the fundamentals of email, search and display marketing as well as landing page testing and optimization
• Be analytic and numbers driven
• Be an excellent communicator, both oral and written, and be able to form relationships with both clients and team members
• Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines
• Have a B.S. or B.A. or be currently working towards one
• Experience using Adobe Test and Target is preferred but not required
