Participant Media’s TakePart.com is a newly developed online Social Action Network that connects users with the issues and causes they care about. Participant’s film releases include The Cove, Food Inc., The Visitor, Good Night and Good Luck, Syriana, and Academy Award-winning An Inconvenient Truth. Whether it is a feature film, documentary or other form of media, Participant believes that a good story well told can truly make a difference in how one sees the world. TakePart is seeking students interested in collaborating in the execution of our web campaigns and online content.
Interns will advance their journalistic skills, while working directly with the committed content team to compile original content and to identify leading experts on socially relevant issues, as well as gain an opportunity to contribute their own perspective to TakePart’s blog. Interns will also gain insight into the growing field of New Media, including an understanding of how to utilize a Content Management System (CMS) and marketing through social networking services (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube). Students with an interest in human rights, health, environment, and world affairs can expand their knowledge of these issues, as well as contribute their personal passion and dedication.
