Find Your Internship

About Taylor Media :

Want to learn how to grow a website? Interested in understanding all the practical aspects behind running a blog-based business?

Taylor Media is looking for a part-time intern for The Penny Hoarder, a popular blog about weird ways to make money, as well as other soon-to-launch web properties. We'd like a commitment of 8-10 hours each week, and we can work around your school schedule.

The ideal candidate is a university student or recent college graduate who’s eager to get his/her hands dirty with a variety of tasks, from web production to research to writing blog posts. We’re a startup, so everyone pitches in wherever’s needed! You’ll learn about SEO and best practices for monetizing a website, and have the opportunity to develop a portfolio of blog posts.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:

We’re looking for someone who…

Has completed personal or school projects or internships that show your enthusiasm for working in the online business or blogging world

Has at least a basic familiarity with WordPress (using it for your own blog counts)
Is a university student or recent college graduate

Is a quick learner who can take an assignment or project and run with it

Reads a lot of blogs so you can help brainstorm ideas for blog posts

Brings strong writing skills, as this will help in everything you do

Is hard-working and willing to pitch in wherever’s needed

Brings a positive attitude and enthusiasm to the office

We’ll see it as a bonus if you…

Have a basic or high understanding of SEO and want to learn more about how to optimize

Have grown your own blog or a blog for an organization or company

Have demonstrated social-media savvy by running an account for a company or organization
Bring photo-editing or graphic design skills

We work hard and play hard, and we’re hoping you will, too!
