About Communication Arts + Design, Inc.: 

Are you passionate about art, interior design and architecture? Do you have great people skills and outstanding communication skills? Here is an opportunity to work with L.A.’s most high profile names in a glamorous and creative industry. You will help coordinate chic events, be on the pulse of design industry trends, and work with journalists at the art and design magazines and blogs you read cover to cover every month. Our well-respected boutique PR firm represents brands and individuals who are involved in the design industry’s most exciting happenings: contemporary art shows, designer VIP events such as the Pacific Design Center’s WestWeek and Dwell on Design – everything from stylized kitchen demonstrations to exclusive designer meet-and-greets.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

As an intern, you will help with PR, research, media list cultivation, and event coordination. You must be bright, ambitious and motivated, with a keen interest in the cultural world, and be ready to learn the art of public relations. Duties will include:

- Assisting with database management and social media
- Recording media placements
- Corresponding with members of the media
- Researching design events and editorial calendars

You must be located in the Los Angeles area, be bright, ambitious and motivated, with a keen interest in the cultural world, and be ready to learn the art of public relations.

Benefits include attending events and work experience in a small yet fast-paced office. Though in no way guaranteed, there is the possibility of a future position with the company, if we find that there is a fit. This internship starts February 2015 and requires an initial commitment of 6 to 8 hours per week.
