At Krochet Kids international we are always on the lookout for new energy and support for our work. Interns play a key role in helping us further what we do as an organization and in expanding our ability to fulfill our mission: to empower people to rise above poverty.
-‐ Quality Control: (90% of workload)
o Check all products for quality. This includes, but is not limited to,
crocheted hats, tailored hats, scarves, headbands, ties, laptop cases,
and labels. (You will be trained.)
o Clearly articulate changes to be made by crocheter/tailor to achieve
quality. (You will be trained).
o Participate in Weekly Group Leader Meetings o Insure the collection of weekly production.
o Fulfill Quality Reporting Requirements
-‐ Production Operations: (10% of workload)
o Assist the Production Manager in scheduling, communication, and
management of production systems and output.
o Participate in the import / export and procurement processes of
Krochet Kids Uganda.
o Learn what it takes to manage a business in a developing nation at US
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, proven strong self-‐initiative and ability to problem solve independently, and an interest in our products and quality-‐control procedures. Furthermore, the individual will have interest in production management, procurement, and/or logistics. Ideally, the candidate will have international travel experience and be well versed in the history and current events of Northern Uganda.
