COOLHAUS (eatcoolhaus.com) is a gourmet, architecturally-inspired ice cream company known for its innovative and premium made-to-order and pre-packaged ice cream sandwiches, ice cream bars, pints. COOLHAUS launched with one food truck at the Coachella Valley Music Festival back in 2009, and has now grown to a fleet of 13 trucks in LA, NYC, Austin and Dallas, two brick and mortars in LA (Culver City and Old Town Pasadena), and a burgeoning distribution business to 2500+ gourmet grocery stores like Whole Foods, Sprouts, Gelson's and Fresh Direct and select restaurant partners in the gourmet fast casual sector. Coolhaus has also become known for pushing the envelope with flavors like Brown Butter Candied Bacon on Maple Flapjack cookies (the "Louis Ba-Kahn"), and reinventing classics like "Mintimalism," which is Dirty Mint Chip ice cream made with real, organic mint leaves on Double Chocolate Chip cookies. As far as culture and environment at COOLHAUS, we work hard, but because we love what we do and are genuinely passionate, we always have fun while we get the job done. We are looking for interns who bring that intensity but also creative whimsy, rising to each challenge with fervor for learning something new and embracing it. We also love people who are detail oriented but can think big. This internship will be working closely with myself, the CEO, and with other key members of the team on strategy and implementation.
Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:
This internship is for someone who is motivated and passionate, and will take a challenge as an opportunity to rise to an occasion and go above and beyond. We are looking for someone serious and detail oriented, but also who can think creatively and have fun while accomplishing tasks. The intern will work closely with Natasha Case, CEO and Co-founder, a Forbes and Zagat 30 Under 30 business woman on generating leads for activations and marketing campaigns, retail accounts, fine-tuning pitches and outreach, setting up meeting, sending out newsletters and improving current campaigns, seasonal marketing, and some social media support. Additional un-listed tasks are sure to pop-up!
