In the two years since its inception, BeachMint has already launched six celebrity-curated, direct-to-consumer sites that give women the personalized shopping experience of a local retail store. Each Mint brand offers its members exclusive products and content developed by celebrity experts, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Rachel Bilson.

BeachMint is at the forefront of ecommerce, using social media to enhance the online shopping experience. Interns will come to understand social marketing from a strategic perspective and will emerge as social media gurus, prepared for a job in online marketing. Specifically, they will learn how to develop engaging content for BeachMint's social media channels, including JewelMint's Facebook Fan page, which is home to over 1 Million enthusiastic fans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students who want a 360 view of online marketing, specifically in the growing social sphere, at a prominent startup in the tech industry.

Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

BeachMint, a next-generation social commerce company, is looking for two Social Media Interns.

Students will learn how to:

Create engaging and strategic content for social channels, including: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Youtube, Instagram, Pose, Viddy, Google+, etc.
Ideate, research and create original editorial content
Research the latest trends in social media and online marketing
Seek out and developing organic relationships with prospective partners
Identify new growth opportunities for social marketing
Prepare and execute social contests and giveaways
Support a team atmosphere by executing general administrative duties

Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited university. This is an unpaid internship; school credit is available
Available 10-20 hours per week. The exact dates of the internship will depend on each student’s availability
Driven, enthusiastic, and sharp
Passion for social media and the tech industry in general
Organized and efficient, with attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
Willing to do whatever it takes to succeed!
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Google Docs
