Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 

As social, marketing, and communications intern (aka the sexiest and most intelligent truthsayer of cool and what is right in the world) you will be contributing from day one by joining the AlleyNYC gang stand on mountain tops, and door steps to announce to the world what's really good. You’ll be planning out tweets, updating our tumblr, preparing newsletters, preparing events and in every way personifying all that is AlleyNYC. You're a beast and you cannot be tamed. Your marketing and communications glory MUST shine.

Responsibilities

-You’ll be able to work in all facets of our coworking business, but this position focuses on Marketing & Communications.

-Run daily Google Analytics reports to measure traffic

-Pull traffic numbers for weekly and monthly social media reports

-Daily posting and engagement on 4-5 social accounts

-Schedule early-morning and nighttime Facebook posts

-Assist as needed on main AlleyNYC Facebook page

-Split Facebook posting on weekends and holidays

-Alleynyc.com blog management (weekends included)

-Assist in sourcing contacts for social content outreach

-Keep social media documents organized (social logins, social media features doc, calendar, social media contact list, etc.)

-Giveaway assistance: Pulling winners, contacting, mailouts, etc.

-EVENT SUPPORT

-Video/Photo Shoot Setup

-Creative writing

-Research and trend analysis

-Being a beast, everyday.

Do apply:

-If you have experience managing social media accounts for a brand or publisher (preferably 1-2 years)

-If you are ready to bust your ass.

-If you know how to keep a schedule.

-If you have a keen knowledge of current trends in the entrepreneurial, startup, & streetwear market and culture.

-If you have an active presence on more than 2 social platforms

-If you have a strong writing ability and great interpersonal communication skills

-Knowledge in startup, hip-hop, music, pop culture, style, and the topics that AlleyNYC covers

-If you have have basic Photoshop, HTML, Excel, and Powerpoint experience

-If you have experience with social media publishing tools (Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Socialflow, etc.) is a plus (if not get a trial and study UP!)

-If you have an extreme attention to detail and ability to self-edit

-If you are comfortable with numbers and reporting as it pertains to social media and site traffic OR if you have comfortable with getting comfortable.

-If you can flexibly schedule/availability to cover breaking news and developments around the community

-If you have 1-2 years of social media experience with a proven track record. (If you don’t, no problem you might feel like you do when you’re done with us.)

-If you are comfortable with most social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.

*If you are not able to receive college course credit for this internship

*If you don’t like solving problems, teaching and presenting your ideas to other people
*if you just wanna be “down”
*if your favorite performers are Benzino or Tila Tequila.

*We will write RECOMMENDATION LETTERS that would make President Obama want you to run for office
