Rising out of the Women's March on NYC, Women's March Alliance is a startup nonprofit whose mission is to amplify the collective voice of human rights organizations to foster an informed and engaged community. Through strategic alliances with local nonprofits, we provide our community with a wide range of opportunities that empower them to demand and defend their rights. As a startup, we are largely volunteer led but expanding at a rapid pace. We are a forward looking and open minded organization whose use of social media to engage our community has already marked us as a trendsetter in the nonprofit world. Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment:

Internship Description of Duties: 
We are seeking a social media specialist who can manage and grow our social media presence. Part of our mission is to foster an informed community. As such, our social media has become a reliable source of news for our followers. The primary responsibility of this role is to find and post news articles from trusted and reputable journalists/news outlets. We are often first to publish breaking news and are looking for an intern who is both passionate about staying informed and is well versed in worldly human rights issues. The secondary responsibility of this role is to grow our social media reach to new platforms like Snapchat. Maintaining and growing our social media presence is vital to our success because our community size attracts new partners and grows our collective voice. The final responsibility of this role is to find and post local or national activism events. Maintain our already robust calendar (see womensmarchonnyc.com website) and identifying grassroots events to partner on help us achieve our mission.
Hours Required: 
15-30 Hours Per Week
