Find Your Internship

The United For Opportunity/Invasion Group internship is a multiple disciplinary experience where interns will be involved in both the record label and artist management activities of the organization. The combined program of these two companies provides interns a much broader/deeper internship experience than your typical major label internship by offering greater responsibility and involvement in the day-to-day activities of the small organization of fifteen. Day to day activities include online marketing, tour marketing, street team management, retail marketing, radio promotion, publicity and more. Read further for more information on these organizations.
United For Opportunity (UFO) is a new model record label/music distributor providing independent, motivated career-oriented artists and labels with the perfect partner to help grow manage and fund the future. The label launched in 2005 and this is the ideal opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help build the company and our artists worldwide. We have a catalog of over 30 albums and a very active new release schedule so there are numerous opportunities to be involved in a new release campaign (publicity, tour marketing, sales, street team coordination, online marketing). UFO is run by music business veterans, and you will be interfacing with people from all aspects of the business: A&R, distributors, publicists, marketing firms, managers, publishers, lawyers, artists, etc. Current artists include Enter The Haggis, The Guggenheim Grotto, Black 47, Jess Klein, Damien Dempsey, The Saints, and Mark Gardener (of Ride). New releases Summer 2008 from The Guggenheim Grotto and Black 47 ensure a busy time period to learn about a new album release campaign.
Invasion Group has been a leading NYC based artist management company since 1983. We work with both developing and established artists, in both the independent and major label world. Artist Management is an ideal place to start in the music business as management is often considered the ''Head Coach'' of the artist's team and is involved with every aspect of their career. That means we are in close contact with record labels, booking agencies, entertainment lawyers, publicists, promoters, business managers, artists, and much more. Current artists include Bill Laswell, Karsh Kale, Enter The Haggis, The Guggenheim Grotto, Jess Klein, Hamell on Trial, Jai Uttal, Mary Fahl, Marc Copely and Gail Ann Dorsey.
