Requirements/Necessary Skills for Recruitment: 


The Social Media Intern is a motivated, resourceful and tech-savvy student. The intern will work directly with the Director of Events and CEO/Founder to strategize, craft and execute content for all platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest. This role offers the intern a total immersion into a busy digital recruitment business and the successful candidate will work closely with key members of staff, external social media consultants, and the agency’s clients and candidates to learn about social media, digital communications and marketing

in a business to business environment

The Social Media Intern demonstrates a strong level of experience with these channels, a demonstrated writing ability, organizational skills, the ability to work both as part of a team and solo, and creativity to spare.

This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among clients and candidates.


Gain an understanding of how and what we communicate to reach our primary audiences (prospective clients).

Conceptualize, create and publish daily content (combining both original text and images as well as text, images and videos provided by leadership) that enhances attraction to The Vanity Group, shares stories of our client successes (approved by Founder), build meaningful connections and encourage engagement.

Serve as an ambassador for The Vanity Group, which includes seeking out story ideas for social media as well as the website and encouraging potential clients utilizing social media to connect with The Vanity Group.

Work with Director of Events and/or Founder/CEO to create and implement campaigns.

Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for company branding.

Learn to monitor analytics to identify viable ideas.

Create engaging blog and social media content.

Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts.

Provide support to our event planning team at live and future online events.



Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university

Exceptional attention to detail; to the point of being excessively meticulous

Confident demeanor 

Desire to learn and grow professionally.

Able to handle an extremely fast work environment

Well-rounded, fun and upbeat personality

Knowledge of the latest trends, culture, fashion, music, TV/Film, spirits, and entertainment industry

Proficient with MacBook/Apple products, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

SUPER proactive skill-set

Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Time Commitment, Travel and Compensation:

Average 20 hours or less per week

Intern is expected to be available during work hours, and respond to emails/request in a timely manner – always operating with a sense of urgency while maintaining sight of the details.

Accessible and responsive in a timely manner via email and text are a must during business hours.
