About Unpaid Editorial Internship Opportunity with Women's Wear Daily, Condé Nast, Fall 2013:

The WWD editorial department is offering a highly competitive and educational internship in New York City.

The editorial internship is an unpaid internship that will provide the student(s) selected with first-hand exposure to the fashion industry and will supplement classroom studies.

An ideal WWD intern candidate is a sophomore, junior or senior at an accredited US college or university, eligible to receive academic credit or an academic letter of support for the internship. Journalism majors are preferred but not required. A keen interest in fashion and writing is a must.

The WWD intern will learn from experienced, talented professionals in the editorial department. Interns will receive real-world, hands-on experience from knowledgeable professionals. Among other things, interns will learn the process behind transcription, research, and fact-checking, as well as have an opportunity to witness our fashion department during New York Fashion Week.

Interns will have the opportunity to attend seminars and events throughout the semester that will introduce them to various components of the fashion business. Interns will also have the opportunity to discuss learning objectives with their mentors and other professionals throughout the internship.

In addition to the items discussed above, interns must:

Be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited US college or university and eligible to receive academic credit or an academic letter of support for the internship.
Be available to participate in a 12 or 13 week internship from August 26th to December 20th for approximately 16 hours per week during the academic year.
